I happen to be attracted to women with blond hair, blue eyes, light skin, and no makeup. I'm not prejudice though. I would never say that someone is ugly because they are Asian, or African. There are plenty of attractive people with dark skin.
I believe that skin color is an evolutionary adaptation that allows people to get adequate vitamin D, and not get a sunburn. Races that evolved near the poles have skin that is designed to make the most of low intensity sunlight. Races that evolved near the equator adapted to handle high intensity light. They have more than enough light to produce vitamin D, so their skin blocks most of it to protect them. If you live closer to the equator than your body is designed to, you're best off using sun screen and avoiding excess sun. If you live farther from the equator than your body is designed to, you might benefit from extra sunlight and vitamin D food sources.
